New name, same team, boutique care with global reach across Europe and Australia
AMSTERDAM, 18 December 2025.HW International B.V., the family-owned specialist insurance broker group headquartered in the Netherlands, today announced plans to change the group’s name to Dubois from early 2026. In Australia, this will be implemented through a company name change for H. W. Wood Australia Pty Ltd towards the beginning of 2026. The planned rebrand follows the company’s new ownership and underlines what has always defined the group: its people and the long-term relationships they build with clients and partner brokers.
The new identity will unite the group’s offices in Australia and Europe and reflects its focus on complex risks, boutique care and global reach. It also supports the next phase of growth, including hiring specialist talent and exploring opportunities in South and Central America.

The name Dubois translates to “of wood” in French, a nod to the group’s roots under founder Hugh Wood and a signal of the intention to continue that legacy under new ownership.
From early 2026, the group plans to change its name to Dubois across its offices, communications and online channels. Clients will keep the same policies, cover and day-to-day contacts they rely on today, while the new name strengthens how the group presents itself as one team serving clients and partner brokers internationally. The planned launch of the Dubois name will be supported by a refreshed visual identity and updated website, aligning how Dubois presents itself across all markets.
Australia
In Australia, the business currently operates as H. W. Wood Australia Pty Ltd and will implement the group rebrand through a company name change towards the beginning of 2026. The Australian team is known for specialist capability in Film & Entertainment insurance and wholesale logging and forestry insurance, alongside its broader commercial broking activity. Clients and broker partners will continue to work with the same people and the same day-to-day service.
