Musicians Insurance / Musical Instrument Insurance Solutions

Cover that follows your instrument. From practice room to performance.

Musical instruments are more than possessions. They are expressions of craftsmanship, objects of history and often irreplaceable companions.

Whether you are a professional musician, a collector or a family with a treasured instrument: Dubois arranges a specialist insurance solution built around how instruments are actually used, stored and transported.

From daily practice and performance to touring, studio recordings, teaching and international travel, instruments face risks that a standard home contents policy does not cover. Cover can be arranged at home, in a case or securely locked away, on stage, at school or conservatoire, and in transit worldwide.

We understand the importance of condition, provenance, value and continuity. When something happens, we focus on straightforward claims handling. Whether repair, replacement, hire or compensation: you can keep playing.

Who we work with

Professionals and students.
Collectors and ensembles

Instruments move, schedules change, and there is rarely a convenient moment for a loss.

  • Professional musicians: orchestral players, soloists, session musicians and touring artists
  • Students and teachers: instruments at schools, conservatoires and universities
  • Private collectors: rare, antique and high-value instruments
  • Ensembles and organisations: orchestras, bands and musical groups
  • Instrument owners who lend or hire instruments for performance or teaching

What we offer

From practice to stage. Protected end to end.

A practice room. A taxi ride. A backstage corridor. A flight case at check-in. Instruments are most at risk when life is in motion. The right cover brings clarity when you need it most.

Special extensions, subject to agreed terms

  • Loss or damage caused by customs or government action
  • Tailored terms for retired professional musicians and collectors
  • Solutions for young musicians that reflect use and supervision
