Santander’s current Director of Insurance Strategy and Business Development will leave the bank to join Dubois on 1 October and lead the Group’s business in Spain

Madrid, 7 September 2026 – Dubois Group, an international family-owned insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Carlos Naranjo Novella as Managing Director of Dubois Iberia. Naranjo will take up the role on 1 October 2026.

Naranjo joins from Banco Santander, where he is currently Director of Strategy and Business Development for the insurance division. At Dubois, he will take executive responsibility for Dubois Iberia, with the objective of driving organic growth in Spain and developing new opportunities across the insurance and reinsurance markets.

During his career at Santander, he has held responsibilities in strategy, business development and transformation within the insurance business, combining experience across both financial services and insurance. His appointment forms part of Dubois Group’s plan to strengthen its leadership structure in Spain and accelerate growth in one of its strategic markets.

The appointment brings to the Group a senior executive from one of Spain’s leading financial institutions and reinforces Dubois’ commitment to attracting top-level talent to support its next stage of development.

Naranjo joins at a time when Dubois is continuing to develop its positioning as a specialised broker with a boutique model, based on close access to clients and markets, specialist expertise and the development of tailored solutions, as an alternative to the larger consolidated platforms in the sector.
